In response to the COVID 19 pandemic, The Arts Society has created a Society Forum which members may find
Now only in the second year of our evening Arts Society in Chichester, we are still welcoming new members to join our friendly group. This year’s programme provides a varied, fascinating and illustrated selection of lectures given by entertaining and knowledgeable professional speakers who are all Arts Society accredited lecturers.
We are feeling very positive for the future, having had a difficult first year due to the Covid-19 pandemic and sadly, cancellation and postponement of some of our lectures. Whilst we are still not able to get together as we would prefer, our lectures are being shown online via Zoom and, unless Government guidance changes, the plan is to resume live lectures in April 2021.
In ‘normal’ times, our lectures take place from September to July (omitting December) on the 3rd Thursday each month at The Assembly Room, Chichester. Doors open and drinks are served from 6.00pm, with the lecture starting prompt at 6.30pm.
Details of our previous lectures can be found on our Lectures page and include talks on the artist, John Piper; The Art of 1934 and The Great British Paint-Off between Turner and Constable…
