About Us

We are now starting our third year as the only evening Arts Society in Chichester. We are still welcoming new members to join our friendly group. This year’s programme offers a varied, fascinating and illustrated selection of lectures given by entertaining and knowledgeable professional speakers who are all Arts Society accredited lecturers.

We are feeling very positive for the future, having had a difficult last year, due to the pandemic, when we delivered our lectures online via Zoom. From September 2021 we are looking forward to returning to the Assembly Room for live lectures.

Our lectures take place from September to July (omitting December) on the third Wednesday of each month at The Assembly Room, Chichester. Doors open and drinks are served from 6.00pm, with the lecture starting promptly at 6.30pm.

Details of our previous lectures can be found on our Lectures page and include talks on the artist, John Piper; The Art of 1934 and The Great British Paint-Off between Turner and Constable…
